The madly anticipated jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 is finally here (released just new), providing an untethered jailbreak for A5-based devices that includes iPad 2 and iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1. Put together by the Chronic Dev Team who are known for making Greenpois0n, the utility is called Absinthe A5 and it is hot off the presses.They will release Redsn0w soon!

Backup your iPhone or iPad before using Absinthe! This is an early release jailbreak and could have some bugs.It's currently only available for Mac OSX!Awesome work by Pod2g and his Dream team!

The Dev Team warns iPhone 4S users who want a software unlock to stay on iOS 5.0 or build 9A405 of iOS 5.0.1. There is no expected release of an accompanying software unlock.

iPad 2/iPhone 4S Jailbreak For iOS 5.0.1 To Be Released Within A Few Hours! [Breaking News]

Today is a extreme Fun-day! Yes, that’s right. Earlier today, the iPhone Dev Team made a blog post informing users that Corona A5 untethered is nearly ready to be released and now comes pod2g’s new blog post which confirms that the necessary tool is READY to be released.

There are two tools on the horizon now. The Chronic Dev Team’s one which will be named “Absinthe”.

A tool named Absinthe and developped by the Chronic Dev Team will install the untether on your device. Also the iPhone Dev Team will release a CLI (command line) tool to help diagnose issues and repair things if it goes wrong.

What’s new about this jailbreak is that it’s the first time hacker use the backup and restore functions of iTunes to install software. So they’re warning, there might be some issues with it.

The iPhone Dev Team will release Redsn0w soon after Absinthe is released and most of bugs which will surely be fixed after some time.This means we should wait for Redsn0w!

The day before, we told you about the Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4S which was shown by @Pod2g on his blog.It was posted as a video showing the magic! The Untethered Jailbreak is in works for past few weeks and still is worked on. After the Dream Team of @Pod2g got united, the work has been made faster and the release is coming near day by dayas expected. All the hackers are working on the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S Untethered Jailbreak.Today, @Pod2g didn’t showed a demo video of the Untethered Jailbreak for iPad 2 like iPhone 4S, though he showed only a picture (Below)  with information regarding it.So we can expect a Jailbreak for iPad 2 soon!

“Only a few to wait now” these are the words of iPhone expert hacker pod2g that he mentioned in his latest blog post. This might be the last post I write regarding the iPhone 4S 5.0.1 untethered jailbreak as it is near. Pod2g has just published a video (below) on his blog showing a jailbroken iPhone 4S on iOS 5.0.1 untethered. This is the first video demo showing a jailbroken iPhone 4S.from this we can predict that the jailbreak for iPad 2 is also soon.We will keep you updated!

Here we go again once again, the iPhone 5 concepts will start to get back in the wild as usual. The iPhone 4S has been launched few months ago and now it’s again for the iPhone 5 rumors and design concepts. The designers are working hard on making their own concept and today, we’ve yet another awesome iPhone 5 concept from ADR Studio that will blow your mind.They have named it iPhone SJ (Steve Jobs).Let's hope that the new iPhone released in the future is identical to this! Pod2G Teams Up With 3 Other Hackers For iPhone 4s And iPad 2 Untethered Jailbreak

Finally Pod2g has found the real team of hacker to work on the A5 Untethered Jailbreak on which he is trying from few weeks back. The Team includes, @planetbeing, @Musclenerd, and @p0sixninja. Many of you might know all of the members of the Dev Team.

@Musclenerd the person behind Redsn0w and the member of the famous iPhone Dev-Team.

@p0sixninja the person behing Greenpois0n and the member of the Chronic Dev-Team.

@planetbeing, the legendary hacker behind iPhone Linux and lot of other jailbreaks.

Today @Pod2g updated his blog and welcomed all these three members to his team.

The famous @MuscleNerd (http://theiphonewiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=User:MuscleNerd), the leader of the iPhone Dev Team, who did a lot of tests for Corona and whom integrated it and made it simple in redsn0w is willing to help also.

And last, but not least @p0sixninja (http://theiphonewiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=User:Posixninja), the leader of the Chronic Dev Team, and my partner for years on iPhone security research has started to code and fuzz the Apple sandbox.

We now have a dream team to find a path for a public release of the A5 jailbreak.

The only issue is of Sandbox.

Sandbox is a security mechanism for separating running programs. It is often used to execute untested code, or untrusted programs from unverified third-parties, suppliers, untrusted users and untrusted websites.

The sandbox typically provides a tightly-controlled set of resources for guest programs to run in, such as scratch space on disk and memory. Network access, the ability to inspect the host system or read from input devices are usually disallowed or heavily restricted. In this sense, sandboxes are a specific example of virtualization.
